Thought Sounds 3: Relax is a large collection of music wherein every track was carefully produced to invoke a tranquil mindset on its own, but also designed to meet the needs of those working with audio-based brainwave stimulation methods to aid in reducing stress and anxiety.

Compatibility with brainwave stimulation makes this audio collection of great therapeutic interest. By incorporating brainwave stimulation methods, the psychologically and physiologically relaxing effects of the audio can go beyond what is normally achieved with calming sounds, as is evidenced by ample research in the field.

In a 2005 study led by Dr. Padmanabhan, an experimental group who listened to relaxing music combined with brainwave stimulation pulses experienced the greatest reduction in scores on a test measuring anxiety levels- a 26.3% drop. By comparison, a group who only listened to music lowered their scores by 11.1% on average, and a placebo group lowered anxiety levels by just 3.8%.

A recent development in the field has revealed a physiological correlation with brainwave stimulation suggesting another advantage of this method for stress and anxiety reduction. This study was conducted by a team of researchers from the University of Bari in Italy, and published after peer-review in September 2013. Their results demonstrated that audio brainwave stimulation significantly raised heart rate variability for every patient involved in the study. Heart rate variability refers to the variation in intervals between heartbeats, and low HRV has a strongly established connection to conditions of stress and anxiety.

An increasing number of clinicians and therapists all over the world have been acting on scientific findings in this field, with many of them now utilizing Transparent technology and software. For that reason, the music in Thought Sounds 3 needed to be adaptable to a wide variety of personal preferences. Transparent worked closely with composer Andrew Foust to produce over 14 hours of unique soundtracks for this volume.

Its a massive undertaking, but we believe the ability of just the right soundtrack to significantly enhance the effects of neural stimulation is incredible, said Adam Hewett, co-founder of Transparent. The innately soothing properties of thoughtfully composed music, combined with precisely configured brainwave stimulation driving the mind to a relaxed state, is a uniquely powerful therapeutic tool.

Thought Sounds 3: Relax is a large volume of royalty-free soundtracks created for relaxation, meditation and hypnosis, and designed from the ground up to be used with brainwave entrainment.
